Two Dragon Year cycles ago, 2000, was unbelievable for me! I
spent the Millennium [remember that?] New Year in India on the banks of the
Ganges for a month and then traveled to the Andaman Islands for a month then
meandered up to Nepal in March. I ended up hooking up with a nice Japanese girl
in Kathmandu. We did a fantastic Himalayan trek together in the Mt. Everest
region hiking up to a small Sherpa village near the Tibetan border with a
lovely monastery. We were together for several months, parting in Bangkok at
the airport at the end of May. She flew on to Japan, I to California.
She is a 1964 Dragon. Clearly, she had an impactful year. To
shorten the story a lot, by the end of Dragon Year she was forced by her
father, a WW 2 Japanese Army veteran, to marry a nice young Japanese man, mostly
to keep her away from me. Me. Who showed up unannounced at her summer place in
the mountains of Northern Japan in July 2000.
The bottom line is those born in the Year of the Dragon will
have a whirlwind of ….. let me just use Plato’s term - you will be
“attacked by Fortune.” Those born in Years compatible with Dragon will
have great years also. These are the signs whose compatibility is 1 or 2 below
