Nothing
is so reckless as waiting for certainty—that’s a game we are sure to lose. … We
cheat ourselves when we try to reduce the risk. What’s critical, what makes a
difference, is to be left with a choice. And to be left with a choice means to
be left fully at risk. Stimulating those risks is inseparable from living.

A bit more on health
I have
encountered a few healing modalities you should be aware of. These are
hyperbaric oxygen treatment and cranial-sacral massage or cranial osteopathy.
Hyperbaric oxygen treatment involves spending time in a pressurized
chamber with a higher than normal level of oxygen. It has had remarkable
results for a wide variety of maladies and was referenced by someone with my
girlfriend's malady – antibiotic, specifically Cipro, toxicity. I finally
talked my girlfriend into a two hour treatment by one of the few practitioners
in LA. $300 and when it was over my girlfriend was walking with her balance
much improved and she did not need her cane. A lot of her aches and pains were
gone. Although she had these seemingly remarkable results she has so far
refused to go back for more treatments as they are “too expensive”. There has
been plenty of $$$ for a facelift and other stuff but not for non-Medicare
covered treatments.
I first found out about hyperbaric
treatment from an M.D. in Mammoth Lakes. He was practicing in New Orleans when
Hurricane Katrina hit and his brother sent down a private plane to get the
doctor and his family out of town when the airports were closed. His brother
flew the doc to his vay-cay home in Mammoth Lakes, a ski town in the Sierras
where I was living at the time. http://www.hbot.com/ is Dr. Harch’s website. He’s in New Orleans. Hover
over the HBOT tab at the top and a list of problems treated drops down.
These include:
Traumatic brain
injury including blast induced
Autism
Brain injury
Central retinal
artery occlusion CRAO
Cerebral palsy
Childhood
encephalopathy
Chronic carbon
monoxide poisoning
Chronic fatigue
Decompression
illness
Mitochondrial
cytopathies
Multiple
sclerosis
Near drowning
Neurology
Post concussion
syndrome
Stroke
Wound healing
I know, it almost
sounds too good to be true BUT many people have gotten remarkable results from
HBOT. For reasons I cannot fathom, except perhaps no Medicare reimbursement,
HBOT has just never garnered the press it deserves. The practitioner in Beverly
Hills touts the treatment for beauty, anti-aging and also wound healing. My
girlfriend took quite a while to heal from the facelift and the one HBOT
treatment she had seemed to greatly speed up the remaining healing.
You don't need to go to New Orleans to see
Dr. Harch to get talked into the efficacy of the treatment, just get in the bag
or chamber OR buy your own - http://www.chinookmed.com/cgi-bin/item/06001/s-high_altitude/-Gamow-Bag-Hyperbaric-Chamber,-Civilian-Model--- about $2500.
Disclaimer – I have not yet tried HBOT
myself.
The main reason I take CoEnzyme Q10
supplements, 100 mg/day, is to increase my oxygen uptake – ie. get more oxygen
in my blood. Don’t forget – I am also hiking at a fast pace and elevated heart
rate up to 16 hours per week.
Crainial-sacral
massage is, very simplistically,
head massage. My girlfriend has had a number of head traumas in addition to
other stuff so I reasoned that since regular medicine was not working for her
that perhaps osteopathy would work. I researched a type of cranial osteopathy
and saw that the originator, Dr. Upledger from Florida http://www.upledger.com/
, trained normal massage people in his technique which I reasoned was much less
expensive. In any case I came up with Gloria in Burbank in the LA area who has
great hands and whose treatment appeared to be very efficacious for my
girlfriend. http://www.yelp.com/biz/burbank-craniosacral-therapy-burbank-4
I have not had a
cranial sacral treatment myself yet. I normally do about 30 minutes of yoga
daily and finish with a headstand and normally I do not like people touching me
as it can disrupt my energy flow.
Devil's claw is an herb that my girlfriend has found to
be the only thing that alleviates her lower back pain [other than Oxycontin]. I
think she heard about it on Dr. Oz's show. The girlfriend is very reluctant to
take any kind of pain meds as several members of her family have died from
overdoses of painkillers.
Amazing
Meal – ‘a potent blend of organic protein, greens, fruits & veggies’ is a green powder supplement that includes
probiotics and digestive enzymes. My girlfriend was having a bout of stomach
problems and unable to eat so I prayed about it and went into a large health
food store and let myself be guided around until I came to this product which I
bought. It immediately cured some of the GF’s stomach problems – she reported a
month after taking Amazing Meal daily that she had not had a single case of
diarrhea – a world record for her. I recommend this as a supplement for anyone
looking to add some high quality all-plant based protein, minerals and probiotics
to your diet.
I take another Amazing product daily,
when I can afford it. Amazing
Grass wheat grass powder. This has multiple benefits including a
substantial immune system boost, creating an alkaline balance [vs. acidic] in
the system, and adds a bunch of green stuff to your diet. I further believe the
green stuff boosts my hemoglobin oxygen absorption capacity.
Niacin reduces cholesterol
and can reverse arteriosclerosis. Additionally, it is known to reduce
depression. Research it yourself [by Googling “niacin depression”] AND start
taking at least 500 mg. daily while you’re “thinking about it.” [“All suffering is caused by ‘thinking about’.” Not
sure of the reference but it may be Gerald
Jampolsky]
My last two
readings were 117 and 127 total cholesterol – haven’t been able to afford a
reading recently. From all I have
seen the niacin form is much more effective than the niacinamide or the ‘no
flush’ inositol hexanicotinate. If you are concerned about the flushing try a
time release version.
http://vitaminb-3therapy.blogspot.com/
I see a lot of bodies daily [I have been
attending a food addict 12 Step program for 37 years in addition to now being
in LA walking and taking the bus]. From all my observations:
· What you weigh and how healthy you are is
90% what you eat
· Exercise is only secondary to your health.
Without proper diet you can NEVER be healthy long-term, meaning say, from age
50 on.
· Many people are ADDICTED to certain foods
and do not know it. Many who are and DO know it are unable to generate the
emotion and surrender – see Damasio, James, Jung in this BIM – to be able to
stop.
· Without a food plan and constant vigilance
the unconscious is too powerful to control your eating.
· From age 50 on to be healthy; NO sugar or
refined carbohydrates; no caffeine; no fats except olive oil, coconut oil,
avocado, banana;
· no eating after 6 pm
· Eat foods in as natural a state as
possible – no juices, eat more raw foods
· You need to eat about 1% less for every
year older you get just to stay the same weight.
· Don’t eat anything white.
· Don’t eat anything with a face.
Sailing down my Jupiter line
The overlaying of
your personal horoscope on a map showing energetic patterns. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astrocartography is called astro-cartography.
You can look at
your own lines at the www.astro.com website.
I suggest you create an account and put your own birth data in your personal
file there for easy access.
From the home page of www.astro.com on the
top of the left side click FREE HOROSCOPES. From the menu that drops down below
that click HOROSCOPE DRAWINGS & CALCULATIONS. From the sub-menu that drops
down click EXTENDED CHART SELECTION.
This opens a new
page in the middle of the screen. Near the top is a banner
I CIRCULAR CHARTS I SPECIAL CHARTS I PULLEN/ASTROLOG I
Select SPECIAL
CHARTS. A new screen will come up. Select the person from your database whose
map you want in the upper box/menu. Select ASTROMAP WORLD in the lower box.
Click CLICK HERE TO SHOW THE CHART.
This will bring up a world map with the person's prominent chart
lines displayed using glyphs for the planets. Once at this map you can easily
display other person's lines by simply selecting them from the upper box. One
should probably expect to spend say 3 hours to get proficient just to get to
this step of displaying world maps. As you can see from clicking the box
ASTROMAP WORLD you can select other more localized maps such as North America,
etc.
In any case, my
girlfriend, a Pisces, has 3 lines that cross on the east coast of Florida, a
Pisces state, near North Palm Beach. The lines are relatively auspicious;
Chiron for healing, Uranus for unexpected changes, and the Sun for your masculine
side identity/energy. Soooooo I mentioned this to her and she’s quite open to
taking a trip there to see what happens.
Do not neglect the power of
astro-cartography just because you do not know about it. I have had some
remarkable occurrences, mainly negative, being in places where my Saturn line
is prominent. A friend of mine wanted my advice [for free] about moving out of
the US to South America. I researched it for her and unfortunately did not tell
her my first hit on it looking at the map -- there was NO PLACE in South
America good for her. She moved to Panama, built a house and stayed for 4 years
until getting into a bus accident where she was trampled by people trying to
get out of the overturned bus. She later said she went back and looked at the
map she had had done by an astro-cartography service and she saw she had moved
to an auspicious Venus line but she had a Pluto line about 100 miles east and a
Saturn line 100 miles west of her. I picked her up at LAX upon her return to
the US and she was quite sick, couldn't breathe well. She moved to Mammoth
Lakes and all her maladies cleared up immediately as did her dog's.
I looked again and recommended to her to
move to the boot of Italy as a perfect place but for now she's stuck in Reno
and has some plans to go to the Czech Republic which I have dis-recommended to
her. CHECK IT OUT!
Many years ago when I tried to marry into
the Nepal Royal family I ended up in a small town in central Nepal way up
in the mountains. I was stuck there for a few days and had to spend 2 days
solid on buses getting back to Kathmandu. Some years later I saw I had an
important astro-cartography line running right through the village. It was my
destiny to go there even though nothing happened.
Sharon’s Jupiter line is the
blue line leaving the coast north of San Francisco and swooping southwest down
through the Pacific off the chart at the lower left corner. After crossing the
Equator it goes through the most exotic part of the south Pacific. Her idea was
to get a sailboat and set sail down the Jupiter line. See also her line running
through the boot of Italy then up the leg and the French/German border.
If you do bring up your
astro-cartography map look for several lines crossing in the same place. If you
have questions write me and I can answer them and explain the maps.
Here’s an astro-cartography
map of someone born 10/9/52. Two points of interest are the Mars line crossing
the Sun line west of the line between San Antonio and Dallas, TX. This is the
point near San Angelo/Midland, TX where, in fact, the person was born. However,
the crossing lines indicate a lot of energy there particularly on their
masculine side, their father and family. Fiery masculine energy.
Also note the green and blue lines crossing north of New York
City. This is the area of about Litchfield, CT also Kent, CT/Pawling, NY. Venus
crossing Uranus – unexpected romantic or Venusian affairs, Venus being the
ruling planet of the Libra native. Potentially very auspicious.
Here’s a map of someone born
1/15/55. A few things to note are the red line crossing the black line at the
Canadian/US border south of Regina. Powerful death aspects. The broad fuchsia
line running through Cuba and up the Florida coast at about Ft. Lauderdale then
south of Charleston SC is two co-incident lines, the Sun and Jupiter. Very
auspicious especially as there is a Uranus line nearby to the east one or two
hundred miles away.
The
two green lines crossing north of Victoria, BC are auspicious and I would
suggest maybe an Alaska cruise And
staying for a time south of Juneau where the two reddish lines and the blue
line cross the coast through the islands. The area around Petersburg, AK and
Choquette Hot Springs Provincial Park, BC.
Astro-cartography
is powerful stuff.

What if Barack Obama were not Barack Obama?
As in, he makes speeches etc but what if someone
else, a cabal, as it were, actually set policy and ran things? Look at the
Petraeus thing. It was clearly known BEFORE he got the CIA job of his affairs.
He was set up and my guess is when he found out about the background power and
spying and began to not go along with it he was dumped.
Who – if you are willing to entertain the question
– really is in charge? One hint is that Gen. Alexander MUST be part of it. Who
could the others be? Someone(s) at the Fed.
Remember Obama saying “remember what happened to
Dr. King” He’s afraid.

I must pass beyond the reach of human events and cease to
feet the vicissitudes of human affairs
Andrew Jackson’s farewell
address is quite good and his warnings about money have all come to pass.
See what he says on the life of freedom in America living under the
constitution of sages and patriots of the Revolution. This from a time where
America and Americans revered living under the rule of LAWS as opposed to
living under the rule of MEN
who think they know better than the LAW.
The
paper system being founded on public confidence and having of itself no
intrinsic value, it is liable to great and sudden fluctuations, thereby
rendering property insecure and the wages of labor unsteady and uncertain. The
corporations which create the paper money can not be relied upon to keep the
circulating medium uniform in amount. In times of prosperity, when confidence
is high, they are tempted by the prospect of gain or by the influence of those
who hope to profit by it to extend their issues of paper beyond the bounds of
discretion and the reasonable demands of business; and when these issues have
been pushed on from day to day, until public confidence is at length shaken,
then a reaction takes place, and they immediately withdraw the credits they
have given, suddenly curtail their issues, and produce an unexpected and
ruinous contraction of the circulating medium, which is felt by the whole
community. The banks by this means save themselves, and the mischievous
consequences of their imprudence or cupidity are visited upon the public.
Nor
does the evil stop here. These ebbs and flows in the currency and these
indiscreet extensions of credit naturally engender a spirit of speculation
injurious to the habits and character of the people.[1] We have already seen
its effects in the wild spirit of speculation in the public lands and various
kinds of stock which within the last year or two seized upon such a multitude
of our citizens and threatened to pervade all classes of society and to
withdraw their attention from the sober pursuits of honest industry. It is not
by encouraging this spirit that we shall best preserve public virtue and
promote the true interests of our country; but if your currency continues as
exclusively paper as it now is, it will foster this eager desire to amass
wealth without labor; it will multiply the number of dependents on bank accommodations
and bank favors; the temptation to obtain money at any sacrifice will become
stronger and stronger, and inevitably lead to corruption, which will find its
way into your public councils and destroy at no distant day the purity of your
Government…
These
views alone of the paper currency are sufficient to call for immediate reform;
but there is another consideration which should still more strongly press it
upon your attention.
Recent
events have proved that the paper-money system of this country may be used as
an engine to undermine your free institutions, and that those who desire to
engross all power in the hands of the few and to govern by corruption or force
are aware of its power and prepared to employ it. Your banks now furnish your
only circulating medium, and money is plenty or scarce according to the
quantity of notes issued by them. While they have capitals not greatly
disproportioned to each other, they are competitors in business, and no one of
them can exercise dominion over the rest; and although in the present state of
the currency these banks may and do operate injuriously upon the habits of
business, the pecuniary concerns, and the moral tone of society, yet, from
their number and dispersed situation, they can not combine for the purposes of
political influence, and whatever may be the dispositions of some of them their
power of mischief must necessarily be confined to a narrow space and felt only
in their immediate neighborhoods.
and more - In presenting to you, my
fellow-citizens, these parting counsels, I have brought before you the leading
principles upon which I endeavored to administer the Government in the high
office with which you twice honored me. Knowing that the path of freedom is
continually beset by enemies who often assume the disguise of friends, I have
devoted the last hours of my public life to warn you of the dangers. The
progress of the United States under our free and happy institutions has
surpassed the most sanguine hopes of the founders of the Republic. Our growth
has been rapid beyond all former example in numbers, in wealth, in knowledge,
and all the useful arts which contribute to the comforts and convenience of
man, and from the earliest ages of history to the present day there never have
been thirteen millions of people associated in one political body who enjoyed
so much freedom and happiness as the people of these United States. You have no longer any cause to fear danger
from abroad; your strength and power are well known throughout the
civilized world, as well as the high and gallant bearing of your sons. It is from within, among yourselves--from
cupidity, from corruption, from disappointed ambition and inordinate thirst for
power--that factions will be formed and liberty endangered. It is against such
designs, whatever disguise the actors may assume, that you have especially to
guard yourselves. You have the highest of human trusts committed to your
care. Providence has showered on this favored land blessings without number,
and has chosen you as the guardians of freedom, to preserve it for the benefit
of the human race. May He who holds in His hands the destinies of nations make
you worthy of the favors He has bestowed and enable you, with pure hearts and
pure hands and sleepless vigilance, to guard and defend to the end of time the
great charge He has committed to your keeping.
and the final paragraph is
sweet -
My
own race is nearly run; advanced age and failing health warn me that before
long I must pass beyond the reach of human events and cease to feet the
vicissitudes of human affairs. I thank God that my life has been spent in a
land of liberty and that He has given me a heart to love my country with the
affection of a son. And filled with gratitude for your constant and unwavering
kindness, I bid you a last and affectionate farewell. ANDREW
JACKSON.
Washington’s Farewell Address
makes the same point about America having nothing to fear from foreign powers
but internal powers of corruption and partisan politics – think Cheney’s Project for
a New American Century.
I
got to Andrew Jackson from a few comments to the following piece warning about
the gold market. It too is well worth reading - http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2013-05-27/guest-post-geopolitics-gold
I don’t see no problems here! (until after
the 2014 election)
and more at
http://brucekrasting.com/on-the-social-security-annual-report-to-congress/
I’ve
had enough time on my hands to sit around recriminating about parts of my life
that I think I should have done better. And I’m also wondering why I have not
accomplished more - actually why have I not gotten more worldly acclaim? And
for all of what I think are my intellectual potential and education what I am
left with is my physical accomplishments, the last thing I ever thought I would
be known for as I was sickly when younger - overweight, sluggish, than a
serious case of polio, then almost 16 years of very active alcoholism.
I
got rescued from my negative thinking when I idly picked up the Upanishads I
had on a back corner of my desk and randomly turned to the Taittiriya
Upanishad.

Realizing That from which all worlds turn back
And
thoughts can never reach, they know
The
bliss of Brahman and fear no more.
No
more are they oppressed by the question,
“How
did I fail to perform what is right?
And
how did I perform what is not right?”
Those
who realize the joy of Brahman,
Having
known what is right and what is wrong,
Are

James Thurber once
responded to a New Yorker editor’s memo that the word ‘that’ was being used
too much by replying – “I consider that that "that" that worries us so much
should be forgotten. Rats desert a sinking ship. Thats infest a sinking magazine.”
“Good
and bad deeds are not the direct causes of the transformations of nature, but
they act as breakers of obstacles to its evolutions - as a farmer breaks the
obstacles to the course of water, which then flows down by its own nature.” The
Aphorisms of Patanjali, from Raja Yoga, Swami Vivekananda,
Ramakrishna-Vivekananda Center, New York, paperback edition 1982.
In
other words, our actions such as meditating do not get us rewards from God and
elevate us spiritually. We are already perfect. What we think are good deeds
free us from our own barriers to expressing the perfection that already exists
within us. All “spiritual advancement” is, at heart, negative work – removing
barriers not acquiring ‘goodness’.
I’m back to the burning library from a few BIMs ago. This is
the library of my astrologer former friend who went blind and whose library I
secondhandedly ended up with. My former friend expired in March 2013 and I went
to a nice Memorial service for her and spoke not at all, nor was I asked to. I
was told by my friend’s last caregiver how often my friend had spoken of me. It
was quite shocking as I had not seen her for almost 5 years before her
expiration. We had a heavy falling apart of our friendship concluding with her
accusing me of breaking into her house and stealing her jewelry. Ah well. It
was a ‘Battle of the Titans’ thing. It was actually her daughter who stole the
jewelry and who later died of a drug overdose but my former friend never came
and apologized to me.
I am finally
getting to put some of the books back onto shelves after months in boxes from a
flooring project. Just putting the books into shelves was interrupted by lots of
browsing.
The Rediscovery of the Soul
I have returned, I am
once again there-
I am with you-after long
years of long wandering
I have come again to you.
Should I tell you
everything I have seen, experienced, drunk into myself?
Or don’t you want to hear
of all the inner noise
and the world?
But one thing you must
know, one thing I have learnt,
that one must live this
life.
This life is the way, the
longest sought after, the way
to the incomprehensible,
which we call divine.
There is no other way.
all other ways are false
paths.
I found the right way, it
led me to you, to
my Soul.
I return, tempered and
purified...
From the beginning of chapter Two of Jung’s Red
Book, from Jung’s Last Years and Other Essays, Jaffe, pg 155-6. Jaffe had
exclusive access to Jung’s Red Book until it was published in 2009. This is
sort of how I feel now that I’m standing on my head again after a 10 year
layoff. LOL
“Life seems to be an
interlude in a long story. It has been long before I was, and it will most
probably continue long after...” C.G. Jung from Jung’s Last Years, Aniela
Jaffe, cover
I have had much trouble
getting along with my ideas. There was a daimon in me, and in the end its
presence proved decisive. It overpowered me...I had to obey an inner law which
was imposed on me and left me no freedom of choice. ...A creative person has little power over his own life. He is not
free. He is captive and driven by his daimon...This lack of freedom has been a
great sorrow to me.” Jung, Memories
dreams, reflections, pg 356-57
“I compose as a cow

that cows MUST urinate, Mozart’s daimon DEMANDED he compose.
“The
search is finished. It seemed to begin innocently enough. I had no idea that
losing my life in the search was the only way I could keep my life. Only now
have I begun to understand why I had to go. I am left with a world weariness
and lack of caring for most normal affairs.”
From the epilogue of my yet
unpublished book now titled Indian Tales
The question of circumstances
propitious to synchronistic phenomena offers special difficulties. Empirically,
it has been established that they occur (in the form of prophetic dreams,
premonitions, psychokinesis, etc.) with greater frequency in the vicinity of
archetypal events, such as death, illness, crisis, the onset of mental
diseases. Since in archetypal situations man usually reacts with strong
emotions, it would seem that emotion itself favors the occurrence of
synchronistic phenomena. And, in fact, during or because of emotion, the
threshold of consciousness is lowered, and the unconscious and its contents-the
archetypes-gain the upper hand. In other words, man falls into the relative space-timelessness of the unconscious where
he experiences synchronistic events more easily than he would in a state of
calm and sober consciousness. For this reason paranormal phenomena play a much
greater part in the life of primitives, with their still feebly developed
consciousness which has not yet sharply divided from the unconscious, than they
do in ours, hence, also the highly developed gift for extrasensory perception
occasionally observed in children diminishes when they grow up and their
consciousness has become firmly established… Jaffe, pg 34
…it was shown that most
spontaneous parapsychological phenomena were observed in connection with dying
and death. …Death is an archetypal situation of immense numinosity.[2]
Here the unconscious breaks through into life, and no one in the vicinity can
escape its power, which in many cases affects even animals. The emotion with
which the psyche reacts causes a weakening or a loosening of the structure of
the unconscious: prophetic dreams, premonitions, apparitions step through the
gaps as heralds of the mighty archetype Death.
…Jung inclined to the view
that so-called “genuine magic” as practiced by medicine men is based on the
scientific still-unexplained capacity to rouse oneself to a pitch of extreme
emotion by an act of will, thus creating the necessary conditions for
synchronistic events. Jaffe, pg 35
He preferred to let things
develop in their own way. “Don’t interfere!” was one of his guiding axioms,
which he observed so long as a waiting-and-watching attitude could be adopted
without danger. …This attitude of Jung’s was the very reverse of indolence; it
sprang from a curiosity about life and events that is characteristic of the
researcher. They happened and he let them happen, not turning his back on them
but following their development with keen attention, waiting expectedly to see
what would result. Jung never ruled out the possibility that life knew better
than the correcting mind and his attention was directed not so much to the
things themselves as to that unknowable agent which organizes the event beyond
the will and knowledge of man. His aim was to understand the hidden intention
of the organizer, and, to penetrate its secrets, no happening was too trivial
and no moment too short-lived. Jaffe, pg

The Varieties of Religious Experience,
William James, Penguin books
Invested with an invincible
courage, filled with an impassioned desire to suffer for its God, the soul then
is seized with a strange torment—that of not being allowed to suffer enough. James, pg 414 from St. John of the Cross
describing the plight of some who have mystical experiences.
This overcoming of all the
usual barriers between the individual and the Absolute is the great mystic
achievement. In mystic states we both become one with the Absolute and we
become aware of our oneness. This is the everlasting and triumphal mystical
tradition, hardly altered by differences in clime or creed… Perpetually telling
of the unity of man with God, their speech antedates languages and they do not
grow old. James, pg 419
The highest resources of
worldly wisdom are unable to attain that which divine leading comes to us of
its own accord. James, pg 475

William James
“About a century ago William
James, whose insights on the human mind have been rivaled only by Shakespeare
and Freud’s, produced a truly startling hypothesis on the nature of emotions
and feeling. Consider his words:”
If
we fancy some strong emotion and then try to abstract from our consciousness of
it all the feelings of its bodily symptoms, we find we have nothing left
behind, no “mind stuff” out of which the emotion can be constituted, and that a
cold and neutral state of intellectual perception is all that remains.
All from Descartes’s Error - Emotion, Reason and the
Human Brain, Antonio Damasio, Avon Books, pg 129. Damasio credits James for
noting the strong physical component of emotion.

Essential
elements of a religious experience:
·
The central one
is the loss of all worry, the sense that all is ultimately well with one, the
peace, the harmony, the willingness to be, even though the outer conditions
remain the same. …A passion of willingness, of acquiescence, of admiration, is
the glowing centre of this state of mind.
·
The sense of
perceiving truths not known before. The mysteries of life become lucid…and
often unutterable in words.
·
‘An appearance of
newness beautifies every object,’ ... This sense of clean and beautiful newness
within and without is one of the commonest entries in conversion records. Jonathan
Edwards describes it in himself: - “After this my sense of divine things
gradually increased, and became more and more lively, and had more of that
inward sweetness. The appearance of everything was altered; there seemed to be,
as it were, a calm, sweet cast, or appearance of divine glory, in almost
everything. God’s excellency, his wisdom, his purity and love, seemed to appear
in everything; in the sun, moon, and stars; in the clouds and blue sky; in the
grass, flowers, and trees; in the water and all of nature. …” James, pg. 249
==========================================
The living spirit grows and
even outgrows its earlier forms of expression; it freely chooses the men in
whom it lives and who proclaim it. This living spirit is eternally renewed and
pursues its goal in manifold and inconceivable ways throughout the history of
mankind. Measured against it, the names and forms which men have given it mean
little enough; they are only changing leaves and blossoms on the stem of the
eternal tree. Jung, Modern Man in Search
of a soul, pg 244
The Self cannot be known
through the study of scriptures, not through intellect nor from hearing learned
discourses. It can be attained only by those whom the Self chooses. Katha Upanishad

On the US’s new Constitution
I haven’t had time to work on
this but thought I should put down a few of the major elements of my ideas.
First, all democracies such
as ours are aberrations in the human condition. They are unable to last long
before becoming subsumed by people’s desires for goods and services from “The Government.”
It’s likely we will not again see anything like our creative establishment of a
truly free and unfettered democracy such as created at great risk and overarching
intelligence by our Founding Fathers. We as a people are different than those
of Jackson’s day. Note Jackson’s gratitude for living in a land of free people.
Not us. We want government handouts and have been willing to give up our
Liberty for them.
Second, the MAJOR element of
my proposed constitution is a unique biometric identifier for each person in
the country. This identifier would link a person to EVERY good and service such
as taxes, health care, voting ID, state ID, driver’s license,. Essentially, it
would be a meta-social security number for everyone in the country, citizen or
visitor. http://www.zdnet.com/in/indias-biometric-id-projects-near-400m-people-milestone-7000014448/
Third, voting for all issues
is done through your identifier. All voter rolls and qualifications disappear. Everyone
has an ID and is associated with a legal address for voting purposes.
Fourth, all visitors to the
US will be assigned an ID upon arrival if they do not already have one.
Fifth, obviously, many other
details ensue but note that for Presidential Elections the Electoral College
disappears – voting is done directly, nationwide. Note the Census disappears
or, more accurately, is available in real-time. Congressional re-districting
can be done at any time.
Everyone in the country is
essentially monitored especially if IDing were done for many normal
transactions.
Ehhhh, sometime I’ll maybe
get around to the details but for now that’s the basics. Oh, you don’t like it?
We essentially have this all going on now in terms of IDing and just check out
the current level of surveillance going on.
A scientific truth does not triumph by convincing its
opponents and making them see the light, but rather because its opponents
eventually die and a new generation grows up that is familiar with it.
